Neill Introduces His New International Women's Day Collection

International Women's Day, March 8th, is the single busiest day globally in the floristry business. Even more than Saint Valentine's Day. Throughout Europe, the USA, parts of Asia and particularly in Russia, flowers are offered to women in support of gender equality and in celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Since 1977 the United Nations has recognised the date and selects a special theme each year to focus on particular aspects of gender balance and women's empowerment.  This year's theme is "Inspire Inclusion" and the social media campaign #InspireInclusion.

Growing up with 2 sisters and now leading a predominantly feminine team at Neill Strain Floral Couture, I am a dedicated supporter of women's rights and create a special range of floral designs every year for this celebration. For this year's International Women's Day I have created a Collection which gives our clients the opportunity to personalise their flowers specifically to the taste and style of the recipient.

In this Collection we have four different design styles: a hand-tied bouquet which can be made in 5 varying sizes from small to super deluxe; our signature Petite Couture designs, a magnificent low table arrangement, available in 3 sizes, and an impressively tall design, approximately 1m high, available in deluxe or super deluxe. 

Furthermore, these 4 design styles can be ordered in the colour palette of your choice. Pretty Pinks is delightfully feminine; tawny oranges, yellows and reds leans toward the traditional colours for International Women's Day; remarkably elegant is white, cream and lush greens, and the fourth option is multicoloured - a fabulous mix of vibrant and pastel colours that is strikingly sophisticated and eye-catching.

All year round, we are renowned for the exceptional range, quality and freshness of our flowers at our Belgravia and Mayfair boutiques, as well as our concession at Harrods, due to the unique way we source our blooms directly from only the very best growers and their special delivery to us within 24 hours of picking. For International Women's Day, we will have an extra special selection, including some rare and new varieties from our growers, from Orchids to Roses, seasonal flowers such as Ranunculi, Lilacs, Tulips and so much more. Following your chosen design and colour, our talented florists will make each bouquet and arrangement bespoke, weaving the blooms into tapestries of living art, to enchant the receiver with a truly personalised and unique gift, delivered throughout London in our signature, luxury packaging.
