Celebrate Mother's Day 2024 with Our Luxury Floral Designs

Mother's Day, like Halloween, Black Friday and even Valentine's Day, are celebrations that have become observed in the U.K. following popularity in the United States. In Britain, the origins of Mother's Day are linked to the Christian tradition of Mothering Sunday, celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent, when people in former centuries returned to their "Mother church," the church or cathedral of their home town. As such, it was a time of family reunions and this evolved into a day for children to be with their mothers to express appreciation and thankfulness. Later on, the modern day Mother's Day together with the tradition of sending flowers, took its roots in the early 20th century in the United States when an American woman, Anna Jarvis, created a campaign to honour mothers, inspired by her own mother's activism and dedication to promoting peace. Thanks to Ms Jarvis, Mother's Day became an official holiday in the United States in 1914 with bouquets of flowers being the chosen gesture for conveying one's love and gratitude. This custom has since travelled across the globe and gained widespread recognition, albeit sometimes on different dates. In the Arab world, Middle East and North Africa, for instance, Mother's Day is celebrated on the first day of Spring, March 21st.

Every year I create a particularly feminine Mother's Day Collection especially for the occasion. The four different design styles we have created comprise a hand-tied bouquet which can be made in 5 varying sizes from small to super deluxe; our signature Petite Couture designs, a magnificent low table arrangement, available in 3 sizes, and an impressively tall design, approximately 1m high, available in deluxe or super deluxe. 

These 4 design styles can be ordered in 4 fabulous colour palettes of your choice. Pretty Pinks is delightfully feminine in varying tints and tones of pink and the typical choice for Mother's Day; remarkably elegant is a blend of white, cream and lush greens, a safe choice for any interiors; tawny oranges, yellows and reds are warm and exotic, while the fourth option is multicoloured - an extravagant mix of vibrant and pastel colours that is both sophisticated and quite captivating.
