Fabulous Flowers for Summer 2019

Neill tells us about his new selection of fabulous summer flowers sourced direct from his growers and introduces us to his floral designs for the Summer Online Collection. The feeling that spring is drawing to an end and summer will soon be beginning is marked for me by the arrival of Peonies. These big, highly scented, fluffy blooms are so many people’s favourite flower, and with all the varieties we have at our Belgravia boutique it’s difficult not to be seduced by their incredible beauty.

In addition to Peonies, we have many other stunning designs on our new Online Collection. Pink is an all-time favourite colour for summer and our “Sloane” range will delight all amateurs of pink…

The list of flowers that make up these “Sloane” designs is endless, however, the dominant flowers are Hydrangeas, Roses and Cymbidium Orchids, with additional Phalaenopsis Orchids, Delphiniums and Anthuriums in the tall arrangement. I source all our flowers directly from our extraordinary growers, who select and pick their best blooms especially for us. Also named after one of the beautiful streets and squares of Belgravia is our “Ebury” range. Comprising a mix of white, creams and green tints and tones, these designs are particularly elegant, created with stunning Roses, Vanda and Phalaenopsis Orchids, Lisianthus, Hydrangea, Delphiniums and other delightful seasonal blooms.

Blues, lilacs and purples are some of my favourite colours for flowers in the summer months and hence our “Cadogan” range is definitely a favourite. Blue Hydrangeas, Agapanthus and Delphiniums, lilac Roses, Clematis and Stocks topped with the florescent shades and wild patterns of the Vanda Orchids make these designs stand out from the rest and are equally pleasing for a man or a woman.

Sourcing the flowers in Holland for these designs and gaining inspiration from the flowers themselves, is one of the parts of my business I enjoy most. Here are images of more glasshouses at the growers during my sourcing visits.

A very bold and bright addition to our Summer Collection is the range, “Hyde Park.”

Inspired by the bright colours of the flower beds in Hyde Park in the summer months, just a stone’s throw from our Belgravia boutique, these designs are created with Spray and Green Heart Roses, Cala Lilies, Cymbidium Orchids, Dianthus and Wax Flowers. They feel like a celebration of summer, sunshine and happiness, just like a walk in Hyde Park on a hot summer’s day.
