01

What is one destination that has inspired your creativity, and why?

Los Angeles feels like my second home, it is full of inspiration with a positive mindset that anything is possible. The health and fitness knowledge and commitment to training is incredible, people wanting to continually better themselves both physically and mentally. Having been there many times, I also come home being inspired with new ideas and concepts.

02

Can you share an unforgettable experience from your travels that left a lasting impression?

Whilst traveling on a rugby tour to South Africa in 1995, seeing a country come together after apartheid and the energy created by the Springbok rugby team winning the Rugby World Cup in their home country, with Nelson Mandela presenting the trophy to the South African Captain Francois Pienaar.

03

Which season inspires you most in your work and why?

Spring is the season that inspires me the most. It is the time when, we as humans, come out of hibernation and want to engage more in our health, increasing our activity levels and the positive feeling of blue skies and warmer days.

04

What recent project or achievement are you most proud of, and how did it impact your business or clients?

We opened our first boutique personal training studio in October 2022, ONE: PERSONAL TRAINING, 35 SOUTH AUDLEY STREET, MAYFAIR, W1K 2PJ.

It is the realisation of 15 years of personal training and over 20,000 hours of one to one personal training, which gave rise to a philosophy of training, inspiring clients to “Move better and Get Stronger”. Our clients thoroughly enjoy the engaging training and love the discreet, home from home approach we have created within the studio. Oak parquet floors, soft furnishing and green plants.

05

What would a perfect, inspiring day in London look like for you?

A run in Hyde Park, followed by a massage, swim, steam and sauna, topped off with a lovely lunch with my wife, sat outside, watching the world go by.

06

What is your go-to spot in London for an unforgettable experience?

I thoroughly enjoy taking friends and clients to Twickenham Rugby stadium to watch an England international game. The anthems, the speed of the players and the atmosphere makes it truly special.

07

Is there a particular flower that holds special meaning or significance for you?

The sunflower is a special flower for me, how they stand out in a field, standing tall and proud, it always evokes a smile seeing the vibrant yellow colours.

08

If you could send flowers to one person, who would it be and why?

My wife, Krista, she is the inspiration to our family for so many reasons. I would choose her favourite flower, the freesia.

Krista is an interior designer and has a unique ability to bring colours together and make a space feel like a home, whilst giving everything a functional purpose rather than just decorative.

09

Is there a film or piece of art that resonates with your personal or professional philosophy?

The film “Stronger” staring Jake Gyllenhaal who runs the New York Marathon. It is a story of resilience and never giving up which is similar to a couple of clients I have been fortunate enough to train and rehabilitate their injuries.

10

What book or author has influenced your career or perspective on life?

The book “Breath” The new science of a lost art, written by James Nestor. It takes you to the very basics of life, in which how to breath is the most fundamental part, and how inhaling through your nose and exhaling through you mouth can create significant longevity.
