01
What is one destination that has inspired your creativity, and why?
Greece – the history, the stories, the landscape, the sea. Why? It is the country from which one of the greatest civilisations grew and everything I have learned stems from that ancient time. I often use ancient coins in my jewellery designs. When I pick up a coin, I am aware that I am touching a piece that has been handled by people many hundreds of years ago. Coins are a connection to the past.

02
Can you share an unforgettable experience from your travels that left a lasting impression?
I have been lucky to travel the World and have seen so many wonderful things but I always return to Greece. I cannot pinpoint one thing but it’s the people, the food, the smell, the colour, the noise of the markets and that thrill of finding a particular ancient coin that I can use in my jewellery.
03
Which season inspires you most in your work and why?
Summer. I love the sunshine and the long days. I am always uplifted by the blue skies, colourful gardens and the warm weather (even the hot weather) which suits me better than any other season. Everyone also seems to be happier, willing to socialise and there are always endless great events to attend.
04
What recent project or achievement are you most proud of, and how did it impact your business or clients?
Miniatures in jewellery. People love their families and some I find, love their animals even more and to have a keepsake portrait in a beautiful piece of jewellery will last for ever.
05
What would a perfect, inspiring day in London look like for you?
A lazy breakfast with scrambled egg and bacon. Catch up with friends and family on the phone – I like to know what exciting things they are doing. Lunch at my club Mosimann’s followed by watching a classic film. Ending the day with a cocktail, a good book and my dog Bertie by my side.
06
What is your go-to spot in London for an unforgettable experience?
St James’s and in particular Messum’s Gallery on Bury Street. My friends say my home is like a gallery – I love art which is part of my makeup; both my Mother and Grandmother were artists. I am a collector of Nancy de Luis and so will go to Messums any time David is showing a new collection. I am never disappointed and always leave feeling happy.
07
Is there a particular flower that holds special meaning or significance for you?
Rose; all roses but especially highly scented ones like Queen Elizabeth, Felicia, Rose De Rescht and Tuscany Superb and the deeper the colour, the better. The Graham Thomas roses were magnificent.
08
If you could send flowers to one person, who would it be and why?
Any one of my staff from my home or my showroom.
09
Is there a film or piece of art that resonates with your personal or professional philosophy?
The Sound of Music – an all time great. A woman gaining confidence and achieving everything she wants through hard work, love and fun.
10
What book or author has influenced your career or perspective on life?
Comte de St Germain – his thoughts on life.
